A gift of pearls…

 I was 11 years old when my great aunt Lila surprised me with my first pearl necklace.  Pearls are often associated with wisdom, love and purity.  Receiving such a gift made me feel special, loved, but most of all it meant that I was growing up into a sophisticated, young girl.  

It has been 33 years since I receive those pearls, and I still have them today.  I treasure that necklace. That necklace meant so more to me than any other I received over the years.  I have many pearl necklaces, but that first one will always hold a special place in my heart.  What a great memory!
